Public Notes:
In general, Work includes a new, slab on grade 3,060 sf building addition on the northeast side of the existing school building. The exterior finish of tan brick with bands of red brick to match the existing school building will be installed. A skylight canopy will be installed over the new secondary north entrance to the building. Roofing material for the new addition will be a SBS Modified Bituminous Roofing membrane. Structure for the addition is to be concrete masonry unit (CMU) bearing walls supporting steel bar joists and metal deck. Exterior walls and interior corridor walls will be CMU construction. The roof will be framed with steel bar joists supporting the metal deck. Mechanically, new heat pumps will serve the addition with low return air in each classroom. The new additions will tie into the existing heat pump piping system. The existing geothermal wellfield will be utilized and does not require expansion for this project. New LED light fixtures and lighting controls including occupancy sensors, dimmers, and photocells will be provided per energy code. The school will be occupied by students during construction.
