A pre-bid walk through has been scheduled for Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at 2:00 PM at the Dorms, First Floor Meeting Room for interested Contractors, Suppliers and Subcontractors to view the project site and ask questions. Attendance by Generals, Mechanical and Electrical Contractors is mandatory. Mechanical and Electrical Engineers will be present to discuss renovation.

Sealed bids for Tower Dorm Renovations - Phase 2 located at the Council Bluffs, Iowa Campus of Iowa Western Community College will be received at the Administrative Office, Ashley Hall, Iowa Western Community College, 2700 College Road, Council Bluffs, Iowa 51503; (712) 325-3235, until 2:00 PM on January 22, 2015 and will be opened publicly in Conference Room C161 located in Clark Hall. The bid tab will be made public.

The project includes modifications to an existing five story dormitory owned by Iowa Western Community College and located on the Iowa Western Community College Council Bluffs Campus.
The Work includes but is not limited to the following:
Renovation of existing toilet rooms and other spaces of an existing five story college dormitory building. Materials include drywall patching, masonry patching, replacement of shower stalls, lavatories and certain toilet fixtures, toilet partitions, accessories and finishes. Remove and replace carpet and resilient base in Halls.
Remove and replace plumbing fixtures, faucets, flush valves, sewer and plumbing piping as shown on the plans. Remove fan coil units and replace with new units. Provide new direct digital control temperature control system for the new units. Provide a unit price to replace branch piping to the fan coil units as noted on the plans.
The electrical work is compromised of removal of all lighting in the toilet / shower rooms and replacement with new fixtures. All existing receptacles will be replaced with new devices. New fire alarm annunciation devices will also be installed in the toilet / shower rooms.
All existing fan coils will be replaced, so the electrical for these will be disconnected and reconnected.
Existing lighting in the corridors will be either retrofitted or replaced.

Bid Documents may be obtained from the office of A&D Technical Supply Co., Inc., 4320 S. 89th Street, Omaha, NE 68127, (402)592-4950 upon receipt of a refundable deposit in the amount of $150.00 payable to HGM Associates, Inc. *A Builder's Card will also be accepted in lieu of deposit check.
CD's and Downloads containing a full set of Bid Documents in PDF format are available upon receipt of a non-refundable fee in the amount of $25.00 payable to A&D Technical Supply Co., Inc. Only complete sets of Bid Documents may be obtained.
If shipping of Bid Documents is required, there is a non-refundable fee in the amount of $30.00 payable to A&D Technical Supply Co., Inc. If shipping of CD is required, there is a flat fee in the amount of $9.00 payable to A&D Technical Supply Co., Inc.
Bid Documents MUST be returned, in good condition, within 14 calendar days from the date of Award to obtain a deposit refund. If Bid Documents are NOT returned within the time specified, the deposit check will be forfeited.
