Sealed bids for the renovation/construction of the Sherman Community Center, 5701 N. 16th Street, are invited and will be received on or before the bid opening date, as per the project's specifications.
Sealed bids to be addressed to Buster Brown, City Clerk, LC-1, 1819 Farnam Street, Omaha/Douglas Civic Center, Omaha, Nebraska 68183m narked "BID ON: City of Omaha SHERMAN COMMUNITY CENTER IMPROVEMENTS", must be in his office on or before 11:00 AM, December 10, 2014, at which time the bids will be opened and read by the City Clerk before the Bid Opening Committee and the public in LC-4, Omaha/Douglas Civic Center.

The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of the following:
1. Work under this contract includes all material, labor, tools, expendable equipment, utility and transportation services, and all incidental items necessary to perform and complete, in a workman like manner, the Work required for the Combined Construction, including all Architectural, Mechanical and Electrical Work for the Sherman Community Center Improvements.
2. The project consists of the construction of the Sherman Community Center Improvements in Omaha, Nebraska.
.....a. The existing Sherman Community Center is the only building on the site and generally consists of approximately 6,750 SF and includes the following spaces: entry vestibule, main connector corridor, child care room, crafts room, kiln room, electrical/utility room, small single user restroom, recreation desk/office, game room, mini-gym, and new multiple user public men's and women's restrooms. There is a second story above the game room area that is unoccupied. The building has had multiple additions and renovations since it was originally constructed in 1978. The exterior construction varies between metal wall & roof panels on a pre-engineered metal building system, wood framed walls with lap siding and asphalt shingle roofs, and CMU walls with either standing seam metal roofing or asphalt shingles.
Project will be constructed under a single prime contract.

CD's and Downloads containing a full set of Bid Documents in PDF format are available upon receipt of a non-refundable fee in the amount of $20.00 payable to A&D Technical Supply Co., Inc.
Only complete sets of Bid Documents may be obtained.
If shipping of Bid Documents is required, there is a non-refundable fee in the amount of $20.00 payable to A&D Technical Supply Co., Inc.
If shipping of CD is required, there is a flat fee in the amount of $9.00 payable to A&D Technical Supply Co., Inc.
