Public Notes:
The scope of work consists of demolition of the existing parking lot lighting
to include the poles and lighting equipment, and the provision and installation
of new parking lot lighting. The new lighting shall consist of a solar-powered parking lot
lighting system which does not require connection to a building electrical system.
Each individual unit will consist of a metal pole with concrete base, photovoltaic panels, a LED lighting fixture,
storage batteries, and control system electronics.
Sufficient numbers of pole-mounted units will be provided to achieve the required minimum
horizontal illumination and uniformity ratio in the designated areas
(minimum 0.5 foot-candles and uniformity of 15:1). The control system shall provide control of system operation
including battery charging and luminaire operational profiles such that battery
service life meets a five-year goal, per the plans
and specifications set forth herein.
