Bids signed and under seal, executed, dated, and submitted for the furnishing of all labor, materials, and equipment for the Central Community College - Hastings, Howard & Phelps Building Remodel will be received until 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 29, 2014. Bids will be received at Central Community College - Grand Island campus Board Room, 3134 West Highway 34, Grand Island, Nebraska. Offers will be opened publicly immediately after the time for receipt of bids.

The Project consists of remodeling at two separate buildings on the Central Community College, Hastings Campus. At HOWARD BUILDING, the work includes an exterior entrance addition and remodeling 6,000 sq. ft. including two restrooms, classrooms, and office space. Demolition includes an exterior concrete loading dock, sidewalks, metal stairs, vestibule and garage, and interior walls, doors, casework, finishes, and plumbing fixtures. New construction includes but is not limited to steel structure, metal stud framing, masonry, concrete, wood and hollow metal doors, aluminum storefront, roofing, prefinished metal panels, and custom casework. Finishes include carpet, tile, and paint. Mechanical work consists of demolition of existing rooftop unit, furnace, exhaust fans and associated ductwork, piping and accessories and installation of a new variable refrigerant flow system and associated ductwork, diffusers, piping and controls. Plumbing work will consist of demolition of existing water service and restrooms and installation of a new water service, water heaters, plumbing fixtures and associated piping and accessories. Fire protection work will consist of the design of the fire protection system for the building and installation of piping for the area of work. Electrical includes new electrical service, lighting, data, and reworking circuits and receptacles. The project has new site work including entrance stair, ramp, landscaping, sidewalks, exterior lighting and irrigation.
At PHELPS BUILDING, the work includes remodeling an approximate 150 sq. ft. entrance vestibule and new site site work. Demolition includes an exterior concrete ramp, porch, stair and sidewalks, and aluminum storefront doors. New construction includes aluminum storefront doors, minor mechanical and electrical work, and major site work including a ramp, stairs, landscaping, sidewalks, exterior lighting, and irrigation.

A deposit in the amount of $100.00 (made payable to Wilkins Hinrichs Stober Architects) will be required for each set of bidding documents.
If shipping is required there is a non refundable flat rate of $30.00 per set made payable to A&D Technical Supply.
CD's of the project in PDF format are available at a cost of $20.00 each, PURCHASE ONLY.
Shipping costs on all CD's will be $9.00, payable to A&D Technical Supply.
The deposit will be returned in full only if a qualified bid is submitted and the Drawings and Specifications are returned with fifteen(15) days of the bid determination, or if the Contractor decides not to submit a Proposal and the Drawings and Specifications are returned with seven (7) days prior to the bid opening.
All other contractors will return all Bid Documents to: Wilkins Hinrichs Stober Architects, L.L.C., 2908 W. 39th Street, Suite A, Kearney, Nebraska 68845.
