Bid Info:   Sealed proposals will be received by the City Administrator for the City of Red Oak, IA, or designee, at Red Oak City Hall, located at 601 N. 6th Street, Red Oak, IA 51566 until 2 p.m. on the 22nd day of July, 2014 for the furnishing of all labor and materials and furnishing under one contract and will be immediately opened and read aloud.

All contractors submitting bids for the work are representing that they have carefully examined the site and building and are familiar with all conditions that may affect the Work under the Contract.

Project Location: Red Oak, Iowa

Public Notes:
The City of Red Oak, IA, is conducting a Downtown Revitalization Project consisting of façade improvements to 12 participating properties within Red Oak's commercial corridor. Participating properties are located primarily on the south side of Fountain Square Park, with additional buildings on the 200 & 400 blocks of East Coolbaugh Street. The specific scope of work for the Downtown Revitalization Project varies on a building by building basis: Generally, improvements include new aluminum & wood storefront systems, repair and/or replacement of second & third story windows, new storm windows, new doors for accessing second story residences, exterior paint, selective masonry repointing, new signage, and new window address numbers. These improvements are being funded with a grant from Red Oak’s Downtown Urban Renewal Board and with matching funds from individual property owners.

Neither The City of Red Oak nor its agents will assume liability for the inability of the bidder to submit a bid in a timely manner. Bids received after the deadline will be rejected. Bidders bear full and complete responsibility for the timely submission of such bid. Time of receipt shall be the time recorded and determined by the City Administrator or designee.



Job Purchase Information:
Bid Documents may be obtained from the office of A&D Technical Supply Co., Inc., 4320 S. 89th Street, Omaha, NE 68127 (402)592-4950 upon receipt of a refundable deposit in the amount of $50.00 payable to the City of Red Oak. *A CURRENT Builder's Card will also be accepted in lieu of deposit check.

CD's and Downloads containing a full set of Bid Documents in PDF format are available upon receipt of a non-refundable fee in the amount of $25.00 payable to A&D Technical Supply Co., Inc.
Only complete sets of Bid Documents may be obtained; no partial set orders are allowed.

If shipping of Bid Documents is required, there is a non-refundable fee in the amount of $25.00 payable to A&D Technical Supply Co., Inc.
If shipping of CD is required, there is a flat fee in the amount of $9.00 payable to A&D Technical Supply Co., Inc.

Bid Documents MUST be returned within 14 calendar days of Bid Opening to obtain a deposit refund.
*One reminder phone call will be placed.
If Bid Documents are NOT returned within stipulated time period, deposit will be forfeited.
