Project Description:
The Lexington Public Schools Career Academy Phase 1 work includes mainly
Fire Sprinkler, Mechanical, Electrical, ADA, and Life Safety upgrades
to the existing Nebraska National Guard Armory, Lexington Site.
The Phase 1 school curriculum, set to begin First Semester 2014,
includes an Auto Mechanic shop and ancillary tool and equipment storage,
a demonstration workroom, and classroom.
The existing building is constructed primarily of masonry bearing and partition walls
with heavy timber and steel bar joist roof and floor framing
with a built-up tar and gravel roof.
Individual Bid scopes shall be taken directly by the Owner,
acting as the General Contractor.
Substantial Completion of the Work is August 8, 2014.
