There will be a mandatory Pre-Bid Conference on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at
2:00 PM at the OPS Service Center, 4041 N. 72nd St., Omaha, NE 68134 for the
purpose of answering questions.
Pre-bid access to and walk throughs of the three schools will be conducted on
Thursday, March 13, 2014 starting at 9:00 AM at Burke High School, 10:30 AM at
North High School and 12:00 PM at South High School. This will be the only
available access period prior to the submission of bids.

Sealed bids addressed to the Board of Education of the Omaha Public Schools,
Douglas County, Nebraska, will be received for the OPS Telecommunications
Infrastructure Burke, North and South, Bid Number 14-009 for the Omaha Public
Schools, hereinafter called “District” in accordance with plans, specifications and
Contract Documents adopted by the District, prepared by Alvine Engineering / IP
Design Group (IPDG) will be received in the office of Dr. Jerry Bartee, Assistant
Superintendent, District Operational Services, Omaha Public Schools, 3215
Cuming Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68131-2024 until 2:00 PM, Tuesday, April 1,
2014. At that time, the bids will be publicly opened and read aloud and tabulation
will be made to present to the Board of Education at the next regular meeting for
consideration in awarding the Contract. Any bid received after the closing time will
be returned unopened. The time clock maintained by the OPS District Operational
Services shall be the official clock utilized to determine the time for the close of
bidding.

This project includes telecommunications infrastructure replacement and electrical
upgrades for three (3) schools. Schools include Burke High School (12200 Burke
Blvd., Omaha, NE 68154), North High School (4410 North 36th Street, Omaha, NE
68111), and South High School (4519 South 24th Street, Omaha, NE 68107).
Scope of work includes construction of communications rooms and associated
mechanical and electrical systems, installation of pathways, cable trays, copper
and fiber back bone, horizontal cabling, outlets, racks and all associated
termination hardware and testing.

Bid Documents may be obtained from the office of A&D Technical Supply Co., Inc, 4320 S. 89th Street, Omaha, NE 68127, (402)592-4950, upon receipt of a refundable deposit in the amount of $100.00 payable to Alvine Engineering. *A Builder's Card will also be accepted in lieu of deposit check.
CD's and Electronic Downloads are NOT available for this project. Only Complete Sets of Bid Documents may be obtained. - No partial set orders will be issued.
If shipping of Bid Documents is required, there is a non-refundable fee in the amount of $25.00 payable to A&D Technical Supply Co., Inc.
Bid Documents MUST be returned, in good condition, within 14 calendar days of Bid Opening to obtain a deposit refund. If Bid Documents are NOT returned within stipulated time period, deposit check will be forfeited.
