YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED that the Millard Public Schools shall receive sealed bids on a
Combined Construction contract including General, Mechanical and Electrical work for the
proposed remodel work at the existing Aldrich Elementary School located at 506 North 162nd
Avenue, Omaha, Nebraska. That said, bids shall be received by the Owner until 2:00 p.m.,
March 25, 2014, by Dr. Kenneth Fossen, Associate Superintendent for General Administration,
Millard Public Schools, at the Donald Stroh Administration Center, 5606 South 147th Street,
Omaha, Nebraska 68137. Immediately thereafter bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.
All interested parties are invited to attend.

The entire project is within Millard Public Schools – Aldrich Elementary School, 506 North
162nd Avenue, Omaha,NE.
The scope of work includes the following:
a. A door and glazing systems to separate existing classrooms from corridor.
b. A new fire suppression system
c. Associated ceiling work necessary to accommodate new fire suppression system
d. Three existing operable partitions that separate classrooms shall be replaced with
permanent partitions.
e. Security pairs of doors for Library
f. Associated mechanical and electrical work
Work under this contract includes all materials, labor, tools, expendable equipment, utility and
transportation services, and all incidental items necessary to perform and complete, in a
workmanlike manner, the work required for the construction of the Open to Close-Aldrich
Elementary School located at , 506 North 162nd Avenue, Omaha,NE.
Renovations will take place during staff and student summer vacation but various areas of the
facility will be occupied by summer school activities. Contractors and MSHS staff will work
closely to isolate areas of work.
