The City of Beatrice will accept bids from qualified Contractors for renovation and the new construction of the existing
library building per the Construction Documents until 2:00 PM CST, Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at 400 Ella Street,
Beatrice, Nebraska 68130. The contractor shall submit bids in 9 x 12 envelopes with “PROPOSAL, Beatrice Library
Renovation” and the name of the bidder written clearly on its front. Bids will be opened publicly and reviewed before
accepted. Bids received after this time will not be accepted. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and to
waive any formalities or irregularities in bidding.

The project consists of an interior renovation and restoration of the Beatrice Public Library
building. The renovation of the existing masonry and steel framed building includes a
reorganization of existing spaces on the first floor, as well as a new way finding stair. The work in
the basement consists of a complete build out with the addition of new stacks areas, a historical
Heritage room, study rooms, office space, flexible gallery space with associated storage, and
public and family restrooms. The scope also includes new finishes, updated mechanical,
electrical, and plumbing, and the addition of a fire sprinkler system, as well as required structural
modifications to facilitate all new construction.

Bid Documents may be obtained from the office of A&D Technical Supply Co., Inc., 4320 S. 89th St., Omaha, NE 68127 (402)592-4950, upon receipt of a refundable deposit in the amount of $100.00 payable to Alley Poyner Macchietto Architecture. *A Builder's Card will also be accepted in lieu of deposit check.
CD's and Downloads containing a full set of Bid Documents in PDF format are available upon receipt of a non-refundable fee in the amount of $25.00 payable to A&D Technical Supply Co., Inc.
Only complete sets of Bid Documents may be obtained.
If shipping of Bid Documents is required, there is a non-refundable fee in the amount of $25.00 payable to A&D Technical Supply Co., Inc.
If shipping of CD is required, there is a flat fee in the amount of $9.00 payable to A&D Technical Supply Co., Inc.
Bid Documents MUST be returned complete and in 'like new' condition to obtain a deposit refund.
Plans MUST be returned no later than one month after Bid Date.
One reminder phone call will be placed before deposit is forfeited.
