Sealed proposals for a single contract will be received by Main Street Manning, at Main Street Manning offices, until 11:00 a.m., local time, on the 11th day of June 2013, for the construction of the CDBG Manning Main Street Façade Rehabilitation Project.
After the closing time for receipt of bids, proposals received will be opened and results will be announced. Proposals will be acted upon by the Main Street Manning Board of Directors at a special meeting to be held in the organization’s office at 6:00 P.M. on the 12th day of June, 2013.
The Project is located at several existing buildings located in the 300 and 400 block of Main Street, Manning, Iowa and generally consists of the following:
Façade rehabilitation at twelve (12) existing buildings, consisting of nineteen (19) ground level commercial bays, to be constructed and administered at seventeen (17) sub-projects covered within a single prime contract.
The scope of work varies from building to building and the work will include historical treatment procedures, selective demolition, cast-in-place concrete, masonry repair and restoration, structural steel, metal fabrications, miscellaneous and finish carpentry, building insulation, weather barriers, joint sealants, wood doors and frames, aluminum-framed entrances and storefronts, wood windows, historic wood window restoration, door hardware, glazing, gypsum board, porcelain ceramic tile, exterior painting, and interior painting.

Contractors may obtain drawings and specifications for the work from the office of A & D Technical Supply Co., located at 4320 South 89th St, Omaha, NE 68127, (402) 592-4950 ex. 4, or by order through their Virtual Plan Room at www.adtechsupply.com.
A Refundable Deposit of $50.00 / or Builders Cards will be required to obtain Bidding Documents.
Checks made payable to The Franks Design Group.
Any bidder upon returning the documents in good condition within 14 days of the public opening of the bids, shall be returned the deposit in full.
If shipping is required, there is a flat rate of $ 20.00 per set (Please address all checks for shipping to A&D Technical Supply Plan Room).
