The Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference on Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at 2:00 PM at the OPS Service Center, 4041 N. 72nd St., Omaha, NE 68134 for the purpose of answering questions.
Pre-bid access to and walk throughs of the two schools will be conducted on Thursday, March 7, 2013 starting at 1:00 PM at Morton Middle School and
continuing at 3:00 PM at Pinewood Elementary School. This will be the only
available access period prior to the submission of bids.

Sealed bids addressed to the Board of Education of the Omaha Public Schools, Douglas County, Nebraska, will be received for the OPS Telecommunications
Infrastructure Phase 2 Bid Package A, Bid Number 13-022 for the Omaha Public
Schools, hereinafter called “District” in accordance with plans, specifications and
Contract Documents adopted by the District, prepared by Alvine Engineering / IP
Design Group (IPDG) will be received in the office of Dr. Jerry Bartee, Assistant
Superintendent, District Operational Services, Omaha Public Schools, 3215
Cuming Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68131-2024 until 2:00 PM, Tuesday, March 19,
2013. At that time, the bids will be publicly opened and read aloud and tabulation
will be made to present to the Board of Education at the next regular meeting for
consideration in awarding the Contract. Any bid received after the closing time will
be returned unopened. The time clock maintained by the OPS District Operational
Services shall be the official clock utilized to determine the time for the close of bidding.
This project includes telecommunications infrastructure replacement and electrical upgrades for two (2) schools. Schools include Morton Middle School (4606 Terrace Drive, Omaha, NE 68134) and Pinewood Elementary School (6717 N. 63rd Street, Omaha, NE 68152). Scope of work includes construction of communications rooms and associated mechanical and electrical systems, installation of pathways,
cable trays, copper and fiber back bone, horizontal cabling, outlets, racks and all associated termination hardware and testing.

Plans and specifications may be examined and obtained at A & D Technical Supply, 4320 South 89th Street, Omaha, NE 68127, telephone 402-592-4950 and fax 402-592-9302, on or after February 25, 2013.
A Refundable Deposit of $100.00 / or Builders Cards will be required to obtain Bidding Documents.
Checks made payable to A & D Technical Supply.
Checks will be returned upon delivery of plans in good condition to the Engineer within fourteen (14) days after bid opening. If the documents are not returned within fourteen days, the deposit check will be cashed.
If shipping is required there is a non refundable flat rate of $20.00 per set made payable to A&D Technical Supply. There will be a $8.00 handling fee for the use of shipper numbers (UPS).
