A prebid conference for all bidders will be held at the Board of Supervisors meeting room, Mills County Courthouse 418 Sharp Street, Glenwood, Iowa 51534 on 30 July 2012 at 9:30 a.m., local time. Prospective prime bidders are required to attend.

Project Description:
Project consists of the construction of a three story building addition; expanding the existing facility to the east on property owned by the County. Building addition includes a three-stop elevator and three-story egress stair and enclosure. Lower level addition area includes areas to accommodate the County Communications Center as well as common area to access existing building with new stair and elevator. Main level addition area includes new primary building entry and lobby to access existing building with new stair and elevator, as well as an enclosed vehicle sallyport. Upper level addition area includes lobby area to access existing building with new stair and elevator. Project also includes interior renovation of portions of the existing building with the scope of renovation varying by area. The Project, particularly the interior renovation work at the existing building, shall be conducted in phases, with the owner (County Offices and District Court) utilizing areas of the existing building for ongoing business operations throughout the duration of the Project’s construction.

A Refundable Deposit of $100.00 / or Builders Cards will be required to obtain Bidding Documents.

Checks made payable to Mills County Iowa.

Any bidder upon returning the documents in good condition within 14 days of the public opening of the bids, shall be returned the deposit in full.



If shipping is required, there is a flat rate of $ 20.00 per set (Please address all checks for shipping to A&D Technical Supply Plan Room).
