PreBid Info:   A Pre-Bid Conference for the Work at both buildings will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at the High School building, 611 West 7th Street, Wayne, Nebraska 68787, (402) 375-3150. All attendees must check in at the High School Office. All bidders are encouraged to attend to observe the existing buildings and site conditions. No other opportunity for building and site observation has been scheduled.

Questions and substitution requests must be submitted in writing and received by the Architect no later than May 27, 2011. Items received after this date will not be considered.

YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED that the Wayne Community Schools shall receive sealed bids on a Combined Construction contract(s) including General, Mechanical and Electrical work for the proposed Middle School Addition and High School Renovation and for a separate Food Service Equipment Contract at the existing High School building at 611 W 7th Street, Wayne, Nebraska and the proposed Elementary School addition and Renovation at the existing (former) Middle School building at 312 N Douglas Street, Wayne, Nebraska; That said bids shall be received by the Owner until 2:00 p.m., Thursday, June 9, 2011 at the High School Office, 611 West 7st Street, Wayne, Nebraska, 68787. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. All interested parties are invited to attend.

The Food Service Equipment Work will be bid as a separate contract. Bidders will have the option of bidding the other Work at each building individually and/or the Work (other than the Food Service equipment work) at both buildings together. Bids must be on a Lump Sum basis and shall be in accord with the Instructions to Bidders.



Job Purchase Information:
Bidders may obtain Bidding Documents at the office of the printer, A & D Technical Supply, 4320 South 89th Street, Omaha, Nebraska, 68127, (402) 592-4950 between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 12:00 noon and 1:00 P.M. and 5:00 P.M., Monday through Friday, upon the deposit of fifty dollars ($50.00) or a Current Builders Card (payable to Carlson West Povondra Architects) per set of Documents and in accord with the Instructions to Bidders.

The entire deposit will be refunded to bona fide Bidders upon return of the Documents, in good condition, within ten (10) days after the Bid opening.

After 10 days, the deposit will be forfeited. If requested, bidding documents will be packaged and shipped via UPS Ground upon receipt of $20.00 per set to cover shipping and handling.
