Public Notes:
This project will consist of two (2) new main buildings, Veterinary Technology Building and a Large Animal Handling/Farm Operations Building with site development and support structures for the farm relocation. The proposed area of work includes the site around the existing Chuck M. Pohlman Ag Complex and the surrounding 40 acres as well as the north 40 acres. The property is currently zoned Agriculture and that use will remain the same in an Educational setting.

1. The Veterinary Technology Building (Drawings set 1 of 2) is new construction of approximately 32,627 square feet single-story building with mechanical mezzanine. This building includes the elements of classrooms, clinical pathology labs and clinical laboratories to educate students in all aspects of veterinary technology. Related animal holding, examination and diagnostic equipment training and an animal surgical suite are also included in the facility. Modular AHUs will be utilized to condition a majority of the building. The Surgery Suite (Surgery Room, Pre-Op, Post-Op and Instrument Prep) will require an HVAC system connected to the generator. A packaged system (DX cooling, gas-fired heat) not connected to the building chilled / heating hot water systems will be utilized to satisfy this requirement. Additional exhaust will be provided for animal holding areas to minimize odors.

2. The Farm Operations and Large Animal Building (Drawing set 2 of 2) is new construction of approximately 14,518 square feet high-bay building with viewing mezzanine. The building provides indoor storage for the farm equipment and maintenance area to perform routine maintenance on the equipment in addition to the offices and general education space with penning and livestock equipment for large animal handling needs. The related farm operations structures including outdoor livestock pens, sheltered areas, hoop barns, calving barn and ancillary structures. The Maintenance and Farm Equipment Storage will be heated and ventilated only. The smaller remaining office, restroom, mechanical and veterinary med storage square footage will be fully conditioned space.

A digital set of plans and specs is available for a non-refundable fee of $35.00 paid to A&D Technical Supply.

For complete physical sets, a deposit in the amount of $75.00 (made payable to Kingery Construction Co.) will be required for each set of bidding documents.

The deposit will be returned in full if bid documents are returned to A&D within 10 days of the bid determination.

Physical sets can be mailed UPS for an additional non-refundable fee of $25.00 paid to A&D Technical Supply.
