Public Notes:

Northeast Community College intends to renovate and add on to the existing Student Center building on
the Norfolk Campus. The scope of work includes: 1. Demolition of existing interior partitions, finishes, Heating, Ventilation, Air-Conditioning (HVAC)
systems, and portions of exterior windows and walls is required to renovate the existing 28,750 sf,
2-story building. This project also consists of new construction (approximately 28,000 sf) at the
upper level, as well as a mechanical mezzanine and study area. Program spaces include offices,
multipurpose rooms, student study and lounge areas, a service desk and technology services
areas, a data center, the college store, a print and document center, a production kitchen, two
dining areas, various student services, restrooms and other building support areas.
2. The following are Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Suppression (MEPF) project scope
items : The entire building, existing and addition, will be served by new primary HVAC systems
including, but not limited to, air-cooled chillers, heat exchangers, gas-fired boilers, pumps, etc.
Chilled and hot water will serve an Air Handling Units (AHU), terminal units, fan coil units and
supplemental baseboard heat. All new HVAC equipment will be controlled by a new Direct Digital
Control (DDC) system connected to the existing campus Energy Management System (EMS). The
entire building, existing and addition, will be protected by a NFPA 13 fire suppression system. The
Data Center will be protected by a NFPA Clean Agent fire suppression system and conditioned by a
dedicated unit. The entire building, existing and addition, will be provided with new plumbing
including, but not limited to, water softener, water heaters, plumbing fixtures, piping, etc. New
lighting throughout with lighting control system as well as new electrical and data throughout.
Audio/Video (A/V) equipment, racks and Data Center Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) are also
included in the project scope.

Bidders may obtain bidding documents from the Printer, A & D Technical Supply Co., 1822 N Street, Lincoln, Nebraska, 68508, phone 402/474-5454 upon the deposit of seventy five dollars ($75.00)
per set of documents. Checks shall be made out to Kingery Construction Co.
The entire deposit
will be refunded to bona fide bidders upon the return of the documents, in good condition, to A & D
Technical Supply, within ten (10) days after bid receipt.
A & D Technical Supply will ship bidding documents upon receipt of a check
made out to A & D Technical Supply for $25.00 per set, non-refundable, to
cover shipping and handling.
A digital copy of documents can be downloaded for a non-refundable fee of $25 payable to A&D Technical Supply Co.
