Project Location: Omaha, Nebraska

Public Notes:
The University of Nebraska Medical Center consists of approximately 40 buildings on campus with a total approximate square footage of over five million. Lighting control systems in each of these buildings vary from simple wall switch manual control to DALI type systems. Current control systems on campus include WattStopper, NexLight, Synergy, ETC, Encelium and Fifth Light. The University’s goal is to upgrade and standardize lighting control systems to Encelium, and upgrade fixtures to LED via replacement or retrofit within the buildings in conjunction with that process.
Dimmable LED lighting controlled by Encelium is the campus standard for new construction and retrofits. The new light fixtures must be compatible with the Encelium control system. Luminaires will be provided with high-frequency electronic ballasts or LED drivers which will be compatible with the networked lighting control system and capable of continuously dimming the fixtures in response to available daylight, occupancy, vacancy, manual user control, time of day scheduling, and utility demand response load shedding. Lighting fixture manufacturer shall be able to demonstrate consistent system market availability for a minimum of 5 years and support legacy systems.
