Proposals shall be received on behalf of the Owner by the Construction Manager until 2:00 P.M. Local Time on
Thursday, July 27th, 2017 at the offices of RaDec Construction Co., P.O. Box 667, 308 N. Broadway St.,
Hartington, NE 68739. Phone: (402) 254-3345, or Fax: (402) 254-2245. Bids will be opened privately and
tabulated. Bids received after the given time deadline will not be accepted.

The overall scope of work includes the demolition of the vacant 1971 building and the “squaring-up” of the
perimeter walls of the 1980-81 building while removing its existing interior walls. In their place, a new 2-story
structure, with an elevator and stair tower connecting the basement, 1st and 2nd floors of the 1901 building, will be
erected where the 1971 building once stood and the 1980-81 building will receive an entire interior make-over.
The 1901 and 1910 currently occupied by ESU 8 are to be remodeled predominantly on the interior. The scope of the interior work includes the construction of new interior stairs, ramps, wood handrails, metal
handrails, doors, hardware, interior windows, interior finishes, accessories, historic exterior window replacement,
new aluminum storefront/vestibules, new exterior metal panel siding, cast stone base, brick and concrete
masonry walls, existing roof replacement with new membrane roofing & insulation, wall insulation, new fabric
canopy/awning, sidewalks, exterior ramps, HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Systems-communications, data, security,
fire alarm and new sprinkler systems. Final sitework, sidewalks, and entry ramps will complete the work. Minimal work will be done in the existing
basements other than the stairs, kiln room, washer dryer, IT and mechanical room enclosures and access for the
new elevator.

If shipping of Bid Documents is required, there is a non-refundable fee in the amount of $40.00 payable to A&D Technical Supply Co., Inc. If shipping of CD is required, there is a flat fee in the amount of $9.00 payable to A&D Technical Supply Co., Inc.
