Bid Info:   Will be received for the Owner, Valley County Board of Supervisors, at the office of the County Clerk located on the second floor of the Courthouse at 125 South 15th Street, Ord, NE 68862 until 4:00 PM. local time April 20, 2017. Bids will be opened and publicly read aloud by the County Board in the County Board Room on second floor of the Courthouse at 10:30 AM on April 21, 2017. Award of a contract will be determined by the Board of Supervisors at their scheduled meeting on April 25, 2017.

Public Notes:
The Valley County Courthouse, Sheriff’s Department Remodel Project consists of extensive work in the existing Courthouse reconfiguring the existing Valley County Sheriff’s Department. The existing adjacent County Clerks vault shall also be taken over by the Sheriff’s Department and reconfigured into their new kitchen and laundry facility. Within this vault an existing concrete and steel stair will need to be partially removed. Reconfiguration and additions to the plumbing, fire sprinkler, electrical and HVAC systems will also be required. The General Contractor shall coordinate this work. Any hazardous materials discovered within the existing Courthouse will be abated by a legally authorized abatement company under a separate contract directly with the Owner. The General contractor shall coordinate this work with the owner’s contracted abatement company. Locations of known hazardous materials are documented in a hazardous materials survey which will be made available to the General Contractor during the pre-bid conference.
