Project Description: In general, Work consists of constructing a new maintenance facility of approximately 24,000
square feet, containing NDOR office area and crew room, Nebraska State Patrol office area, restrooms, heated
equipment storage bays, wash bay, mechanic’s bay and office, parts/tool storage, and mezzanine storage at a new
maintenance yard located in Chadron, NE. Construction is to be primarily a pre-engineered metal building with
concrete and CMU veneer stem walls around the perimeter. Non-load bearing metal stud framing is to be used for
interior wall framing. Additional building components will include concrete footings, metal roof, sectional doors,
hollow metal and stainless steel doors and frames, aluminum windows, and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing
installation. Site work includes site grading, paving, parking, sidewalks, fuel island, utilities, and perimeter fencing.
