SCOPE OF THE PROJECT: Additions at Wheeler & Reagan Elementary schools utilize energy recovery units to precondition outside air for water source heat pumps. The District desires to replace these units with dedicated outside air units capable of providing “room neutral” outside air to the water source heat pumps. The project includes but is not limited to the following major elements: Removal of the existing energy recovery units and select ductwork, Removal of existing intake / relief hood, General demolition to accommodate equipment removal, Roof patching, Installation of new rooftop dedicated outside air units, Installation of new ductwork to connect new units to existing distribution systems, Servicing of existing water source heat pumps, Commissioning new equipment and controls, Electrical modifications to accommodate new mechanical equipment, Structural modifications to accommodate new mechanical equipment, General Construction (including roof work) to accommodate new mechanical equipment.
