There will be a mandatory Pre-Bid Conference on Wednesday, November 23, 2016, at
9:00 AM at the Omaha Public Schools Service Center, 4041 N. 72nd Street, Omaha,
Nebraska, 68134, for the purpose of answering questions. Pre-bid access to and walk-throughs of the four schools will be conducted after the prebid
conference starting with Beals Elementary, then Castelar, Chandler View, and
Jackson Elementary Schools immediately following. This will be the only available
access period prior to the submission of bids.

Sealed bids addressed to the Board of Education of the Omaha Public Schools, Omaha,
Nebraska, will be received for the OPS Fire, Life Safety, and Security Improvements –
Beals, Castelar, Chandler View, and Jackson Elementary Schools, OPS Bid No. 17-012
for the Omaha Public Schools will be received in the office of Dr. Jerry Bartee, Assistant Superintendent,
District Operational Services, Omaha Public Schools, 3215 Cuming Street, Omaha,
Nebraska 68131-2024 until 2:00 PM, Tuesday, December 6, 2016. At that time, the
bids will be publicly opened and read aloud and tabulation will be made to present to the
Board of Education at the next regular meeting for consideration in awarding the
Contract. Any bid received after the closing time will be returned unopened. The time
clock maintained by the OPS District Operational Services shall be the official clock
utilized to determine the time for the close of bidding.

This project includes fire sprinklers, door hardware, fire alarm, intercom, clock, push-pull
video, and telecommunications infrastructure replacement for four (4) schools. Schools
include: Beals Elementary (1720 South 48th Street), Castelar Elementary (2316 South 18th Street), Chandler View Elementary (7800 South 25th Street) & Jackson Elementary (620 South 31st Street). Scope of work varies by school and includes architectural, mechanical, and electrical
support for the work involved.

Bid Documents may be obtained from the office of A&D Technical Supply Co. Inc., 4320 S. 89th Street, Omaha, NE 68127, (402) 592-4950, upon receipt of a refundable deposit in the amount of $100.00 payable to A&D Technical Supply Co. A Plan Deposit Card, as issued by the Omaha Builders Exchange, will NOT be accepted in lieu of a deposit check. Only Complete Sets of Bid Documents may be obtained; no partial sets will be issued.
If shipping of Bid Documents is required, there is a non-refundable fee in the amount of $20.00 payable to A&D Technical Supply Co. Inc.
The entire deposit will be refunded upon the return of these documents, including any addenda issued thereto, to A&D Technical Supply Co., Inc., 4320 S. 89th Street, Omaha, NE 68127, in good condition, within 30 days of the bid opening.
