A Pre-Bid Conference and tour of the existing roof and occupied spaces below will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, May 21, 2015, at the Douglas County Correctional Center, 720 S. 17th Street, Omaha, Nebraska. All Bidders and sub-bidders are strongly encouraged to be present. There is no other time scheduled to allow bidder access to the secure roof and building interior areas.

YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED that Douglas County, Nebraska shall receive sealed bids on a Combined Construction Contract including Roof Replacement and miscellaneous associated General, Mechanical and Electrical work for Douglas County Correctional Center Roof Replacement project, at 710 S. 17th Street, Omaha, Nebraska; that said, bids shall be received by the Owner until 11:00 AM central time on Wednesday, June 3, 2015, to the attention of the City of Omaha Clerk, Buster Brown, LC-1 Office, 1819 Farnam Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68183. Bids received after this time will not be accepted. Bids will be opened at the regularly scheduled Bid Opening meeting in the Legislative Chambers after submission of Bids on Wednesday, June 3, 2015. All interested parties are invited to attend.

The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of, but is not limited to, the following:
1.) Removal of existing ballasted membrane roof system and associated insulation and flashing including demolition of existing roof mounted solar panels and support framing.
2.) Provide and install new EPDM membrane roofing over new polyisocyanurate insulation, fully adhered to existing sloped insulated concrete deck, and all associated flashings and sheet metal coping.
3.) Replace existing roof drains and provide and install new overflow drain system and associated piping to new downspout nozzle in its entirety.
Project will be constructed under a single prime contract.

Bid Documents may be obtained from the office of A&D Technical Supply Co., Inc., 4320 S. 89th Street, Omaha, NE 68127, (402)592-4950 upon receipt of a refundable deposit in the amount of $25.00 payable to Carlson West Povondra Architects. * A Builder's Card will NOT be accepted in lieu of deposit check.
Only complete sets of Bid Documents may be obtained.
Bidders may also obtain a CD
with PDF copies of the plans and specifications from the Architect by submitting a request to
biddocs@cwparchitects.com or at (402) 551-1500.
A non-refundable fee determined by Carlson West Povondra Architects and a fully executed Digital Data Agreement (supplied by the Architect) will be required to process digital document requests.
CD's ARE NOT AVAILABLE THROUGH A&D TECHNICAL SUPPLY CO., INC.
If shipping of Bid Documents is requested, a non-refundable fee in the amount of $15.00 payable to A&D Technical Supply Co., Inc. will be required.
If shipping of CD is requested, a non-refundable fee determined by Carlson West Povondra Architects will be required.
Bid Documents MUST be returned to the office of A&D Technical Supply Co., Inc., in good condition, within 10 days of Bid Opening to receive a deposit refund.
If Bid Documents are NOT returned within stipulated time period, deposit will be forfeited.
