Public Notes:
The Lewis Central Middle School Renovation includes interior finish upgrades, accessibility improvements, exterior envelope repairs, and building system replacements throughout the existing facility. Scope includes stair tower expansion, new flooring, paint, acoustical ceilings, restroom upgrades, locker replacement, lift and stair improvements, EIFS repairs/replacement, front entry upgrades. Mechanical work includes new classroom heat pumps, DOAS units, and ductwork upgrades, while electrical scope includes installation of new lighting. The project is heavily focused on summer 2026 and summer 2027 with select classroom renovation during the 26-27 school year. The Lewis Central Community School District (“Owner”), located in Council Bluffs, Iowa, has entered into a Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) agreement with Meco-Henne Contracting, Inc. for the Lewis Central Middle School Renovation project. Pursuant to Iowa Code Chapter 26A, Meco-Henne Contracting is soliciting Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) from interested subcontractors for applicable trade packages. Only subcontractors deemed qualified through this SOQ process will be invited to submit bids. Certain materials may be purchased directly by the Construction Manager; installation labor will be competitively bid as part of this procurement. *An OBE Non-Cash Builder's Card will NOT be accepted in lieu of purchasing a set.
Only complete sets of Bid Documents may be obtained - no partial set orders will be issued.

If shipping of Bid Documents is required, there is a non-refundable fee in the amount of $15.00 (+ 7% NE Sales Tax), payable to A&D Technical Supply Co., Inc.

Printed bid documents do not need to be returned, as there is no deposit to be refunded. You may return bid documents if you wish, and we can recycle them for free.
