The work covered by this Scope of Work (SOW) consists of furnishing all construction services, labor, equipment, tools, materials, travel, lifts, licenses and permits required to repair multiple failing components of Building 509, a 28,372-square-foot, two-story, built in1996. This facility now requires renovations due to aging infrastructure and life-cycle replacements. This project will involve repairing the plumbing system by replacing failing water lines, plumbing fixtures, and water systems. The HVAC system, which has poor ventilation and has exceeded its useful lifespan. Replacement of the boiler, to prevent further failures that have led to water damage throughout the building. Remediation to clean up and repair damage caused by these failures, particularly on the first floor. Sections of the building will receive new interior finishes, such as updated wall treatments, ceilings, and flooring. The first-floor latrine will undergo necessary refinishing to restore its functionality and appearance. On the exterior, damaged EIFS will be replaced with an insulated metal panel system. Necessary demolition work will be carried out to remove deteriorated structures, allowing for effective renovations and upgrades. These efforts aim to enhance the building’s integrity, efficiency, and extend its operational life for continued use at the CATS.
