Sealed Bids for the construction of the Platte River Obstruction Removal Project will be received, by
Papio-Missouri River Natural Resources District (Papio NRD) at the office of the Papio NRD 8901 South
154th Street, Omaha, NE 68138 until 2:oo p.m. local time on Wednesday, Nov. 6th, at which time the Bids
received will be publicly opened and read.

The Project consists of the removal of debris materials, rock,
and sand that have formed an immobile bar upstream of the Union Pacific Railroad track, between the
Union Pacific and BNSF Railroad tracks, and from the BNSF Railroad track downstream of the US Highway
34/75 bridge at the Sarpy and Cass County borders. Work includes excavation/removal and disposal of
accumulated debris; excavation and transportation of rock riprap to be stockpiled offsite; and
excavation/removal of sand materials to be deposited in a nearby sandpit lake. Also included are
construction of temporary site access, tree removal, traffic control and site restoration.
