PreBid Info:   A pre-bid site visit is recommended for all bidders on the project. A walk-thru of the facility is scheduled for Tuesday, April 30th @ 2 p.m. (Local Time). The design engineer will be available at that time to take any questions. A separate site visit date and time may be arranged with the City of Madison Staff and is strictly subject to their availability.

Bid Info:   Sealed bids will be received at the Office of the City Clerk, City of Madison, Public Safety Building, 204 W. 1st St., Madison, NE 68748. Phone: (402) 454-3412, until 2:00 p.m., (local time) on Monday, May 13th, 2024, for the MADISON CITY BUILDING - HVAC SYSTEMS REPLACEMENT Project No. 231506, for the City of Madison. Bids will be publicly opened at this time. Bids received after the specified time will be returned unopened to sender.

PROJECT SUMMARY: The MADISON CITY BUILDING- HVAC SYSTEMS REPLACEMENT involves the replacement of the air handlers, condensing units, duct furnaces, VAV boxes, and other associated equipment associated with the 3 existing HVAC systems that serve the City Offices, Library, and Museum. A new DDC Control System shall also be furnished as part of this project. The majority of demolition of these existing systems within the City Building’s two mechanical rooms has already occ! urr ed. This demolition was associated with the recently completed mold remediation project for the City Building. Two temporary systems were assembled from components of the original systems to maintain heat within the building during the winter. These two systems are to be removed. The building’s existing ductwork located outside of the two mechanical rooms shall be reutilized, with some modifications. The City Building is currently unoccupied and will remain unoccupied through the duration of the project. The completion of all work is to occur by September 27th, 2024. The final completion date is intended to accommodate for and allow contractor flexibility for the extended lead times currently occurring for mechanical and electrical equipment.
