Project Description: Linden Elementary is an existing 40,428 square foot building with 2 classroom areas for Pre-K thru 4th grade students flanking a core area containing a multipurpose / gymnasium, commons / cafeteria, media center, kitchen, pre-k and kindergarten rooms, and administrative area.
A new classroom addition of approximately 12,800 sq, ft. will be constructed to the west of the existing building. The new addition will contain 8 classrooms, an activity area, restrooms, and related support spaces. Within the new addition one classroom will double as a severe weather shelter. Upon completion and occupancy of the new classroom addition the existing 8 classroom area located at the north-east side of the building will be demolished.
The existing kitchen, kitchen storage, commons, staff room, east restrooms, and computer room will be renovated. Updated finishes will be provided in the existing media center.
