PreBid Info:   A Pre-Bid Conference and tour of the existing occupied spaces below will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 15, 2022, at the Douglas County Corrections Center, 710 S 17th Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68102. All Bidders and sub-bidders are strongly encouraged to be present. There is no other time scheduled to allow bidder access to the secure areas.

Bid Info:   YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED that Douglas County Nebraska shall receive sealed bids on a Phased Construction Contract including door and hardware replacement, painting, and miscellaneous associated General, Mechanical and Electrical work for Douglas County Corrections– Security Upgrades Project, at 710 S 17th St., Omaha, Nebraska 68102; that said bids shall be received by the Owner until 11:00 a.m. central time on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 to the attention of the City of Omaha Clerk, Douglas County Civic Center, LC1 Offices, 1819 Farnam Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68183. Bids received after this time will not be accepted. Bids will be opened at the regularly scheduled Bid Opening meeting in the Legislative Chambers after submission of Bids on Wednesday, June 29, 2022. All interested parties are invited to attend.

Public Notes:
The proposed project consists of adding new netting at the mezzanine level of every dayroom in at the Douglas County Correction Center. Each of these dayroom modifications will need to be completed as its own phase. The work will need to be coordinated with the Corrections department so that inmates can be moved out of dayrooms while the work is being completed. New fire sprinkler heads will also need to be installed in several bathroom areas in these dayrooms. The second part of the project is to add a new security wall at the outdoor recreation area and work release area. This wall is all exterior and will contain a single egress door out of the work release area.

Bid Documents may be obtained from the office of A&D Technical Supply Co., Inc., 4320 S. 89th Street, Omaha, NE 68127, (402) 592-4950, upon receipt of a refundable deposit of $50.00 for each set of Documents. Checks shall be made out to Carlson West Povondra Architects. Builders Cards will NOT be accepted on this project.

CD's and Downloads containing a full set of Bid Documents in PDF format are available upon receipt of a non-refundable fee in the amount of $30.00 payable to A&D Technical Supply Co., Inc.
Only complete sets of Bid Documents may be obtained.

If shipping of Bid Documents is required, there is a non-refundable fee in the amount of $35.00 payable to A&D Technical Supply Co., Inc.
If shipping of CD is required, there is a flat fee in the amount of $9.00 payable to A&D Technical Supply Co., Inc.

Bid Documents MUST be returned, in good condition, within 10 calendar days of Bid Opening to obtain a deposit refund.
