Public Notes:
The Omega West Point project is the renovation of a former 17,750 SF nursing home into 22 units of affordable housing apartments. The structure will remain and new sidewalks will allow for direct entry into each unit from the exterior. The basement will be renovated into unfinished space that has storage lockers for the tenants. The unfinished basement space will not conform to FEMA storm shelter standards and therefore will not be required to meet accessibility design guidelines as the ANSI A unit has dedicated storage space within the unit. The project will feature solar power generation to assist with overall affordability as well as a small playground and community garden for the tenants use.
