Project Location: Cody, NE

Public Notes:
Cody-Kilgore Unified Schools (the District) is seeking an experienced and qualified Design-Build firm to design and construct a remodel and addition project to the existing high school located in Cody, NE. The remodel will consist of approximately 9,500 SF of aesthetic and moderate structural improvements to accommodate existing and new uses, as well as mechanical and electrical upgrades to the entire existing facility. The addition shall include approximately 27,000 SF of new space connected to the existing high school. The new combined facility will support all K-12 classrooms and support spaces. Upon completion of the project, the existing elementary school in Kilgore will close. Additional site work will be minimal but may include a rock parking lot, minimal landscaping, and/or a playground area. The proposed project budget for the design-build contract is approximately $5,500,000. It is expected that the selected Design-Builder will provide budgets and design documents to the District to help facilitate the approval of a bond vote, to be conducted in either late 2020 or early 2021.
